Yousriya Loza-Sawiris Scholarship 2024: Eligibility Criteria
If you’re aspiring to apply for the esteemed Yousriya Loza-Sawiris Scholarship in 2024, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Educational Background:
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification from a well-reputed academic institution in a related field of study.
- Work Experience:
- Demonstrate a minimum of two years of work experience in the field of development.
- Academic Requirements:
- Fulfill the entry requirements for the academic Master of Development Practice (MDP) program.
- Track Record:
- Demonstrate an exceptional professional and academic track record.
- Selection Criteria:
- Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, as well as merit and character. The selection committee considers academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities, and social behavior.
- Academic Background:
- While no specific academic track is mandated, candidates with a strong background in liberal arts education and sound quantitative and analytical skills will be better prepared for academic success at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
- Nationality and Residence:
- Applicants must be Egyptian nationals residing in Egypt. Preference will not be given to dual nationality holders.
- Recommended Coursework:
- Previous coursework in mathematics, statistics, and economics is recommended.
- English Language Proficiency:
- Proficiency in the English language is required. Applicants must provide valid TOEFL or IELTS scores, and the exam date should be within two years of the graduate program start. Minimum required scores are 100 (TOEFL internet-based, with a minimum of 22 on each section) or 7 (IELTS, with a minimum of 7 on each section).
